About Muno

Ciao! My name is Muno. I am a Brooklyn-born Italian wife and mother. My life's resume thus far includes a variety of  experiences which I hope will be reflected in the storytelling of this blog. My goal is to put a smile on the readers face and to entice them to try some of my recipes. Listed below are three scenarios which could belong on my resume.  I leave it up to the reader to decide which description is true.

CHOOSE ONE:

A retired FBI Agent assigned to work in Italy for two years. My work there allowed me to absorb the Italian culture, refine my Italian palette and meet many interesting characters. I spend much of my time now cooking for family and friends and writing a book about my adventures at the Bureau.

OR

As a former Wall Street banking executive I entertained customers at many of  New York's finest restaurants. I developed an interest and appreciation for food and began attending several cooking classes. By learning proper cooking techniques, I was able to successfully duplicate many of my favorite dishes at home  I transitioned my business skills and passion for delicious food by teaching "Rustic Italian Cooking" to the foodies of Las Vegas.

OR

As the wife of a Hungarian plastic surgeon, I started my own small Italian catering business in Budapest during my husband's residency at University. We moved back to the United States in the late 90's where I continue to provide catering services to many of my husband clients in Palo Alto.

  2. Marilyn,

Greg sent me the link, and I relished both articles and the video clip. You have an amazingly nostalgic tone in your writing that engages the readers. I encourage you to do more of the same and post with your heart. You can't go wrong. Aunt Josie was amazing. I remember her well!

    Best,
    Robert Rendo
